The 7th KingLeadIES

On July 7, 2019, the 7th International Education Symposium on Cultivation Mechanism for International Innovative Talents & Comparison Research hosted by KingLead, sponsored by the Graduate School of Education of Peking University and co-organized by Stanford Center, was successfully held at Stanford Center.
The topic of the 7th IES was “Educational Data and International School Management”, which aims at promoting school governance and student innovation through analysis and research of big data on education. The guests who participated in this forum included experts and scholars from the National Education Advisory Committee, International Scientific Exchange Foundation of China, Stanford Center, Peking University, Shenzhen University, and the City University of New York, as well as principals, school managers and teachers from the Affiliated High School of Peking University, Tsinghua University High School, the High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University, Keystone Academy, Beijing Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy, Huafu International Dept., Guangdong Country Garden School, Ulink College, the International Department of Shude High School, etc.
The IES specially invited the national medium and long-term talent planning expert consultant, national education advisory committee, director of the China talent research association academic committee to bring an excellent speech titled as “Big Data Cloud Computing and Personalized Training” to share with us how the big data, intelligent devices, mobile Internet, cloud computing and other modern equipment and information technology integrate to profoundly change the way of social production, living and learning as well as the talent cultivation and utilization. Executive director of Stanford Center delivered a speech from personal experience of studying and working at Stanford University. With the topic of “World-class University Talents Training Strategies: Based on the Research of Stanford University”, he analysed the development situation of Stanford university and the talent training mechanism from the perspective of the development course, the enrollment data, alumni development, joint courses, diversified features.
Experts and professors also discussed about “American Elite College Admissions Big Data and Trend Analysis” and the impact of educational data on school governance and student development. A principal of a know school also shared a speech about educational data and school governance through personal education practices and cases.
In the discussion of principals, the participants exchanged views on how to apply data to teacher assessment, the research on students’ learning motivation and behavior in student development evaluation system, and the indicators that American universities refer to when admitting students.
This is a feast to the international education thoughts, where the guests use new data point of view to look at the school governance and students’ innovation development, producing fruitful theoretical results. The guests have said the IES has broadened their horizons, enriched their understanding of the international education industry and trends, and deep understanding of the education data for school management and students’ development, and would like to actively participate in the future IES and subject researches, to jointly contribute to the construction of the innovative talents training mechanism.
The 7th IES has come to a successful conclusion and has reached many important consensuses and achievements, which laid a good foundation for the further advancement of the topic. KingLead will further promote the development and implementation
of the project with scholars in universities and colleges at home and abroad as well as international schools and contribute to China’s international innovative talents cultivation.
