Cultivation of Innovative Talents: Standard, Students’ Creativity and Leadership Development, School Governance and Talent Cultivation Conditions

"Talent is the most important resource, innovation is the most important driving force”. The schools bear the responsibility of training innovative talents. Peking University Graduate School of Education and KingLead brought together experts in various fields such as education economics, sociology, human resource management, artificial intelligence and big data to initiated the research on Cultivation Mechanism for International Innovative Talents and International Comparison Research. From the perspective of international comparison, the research group conducted in-depth research on the cultivation of innovative talents using the scientific evidence-based approach.


On June 15, 2019, the 6th session of KingLeadIES was successfully held in KingLead headquarter. Experts and scholars from Peking University, Shenzhen University and The City University of New York discussed the further implementation of the research project. They first reviewed the previous short-term results and data collected and then proposed the key agenda and objective of the following investigation. Participants discussed specific issues such as survey method, questionnaire design and sampling method, and promoted the design principle of combining questionnaire survey with interview, combining sampling data with management data, and considering both private and public schools. This investigation is another large sample survey after 2015. The data collected will significantly advance the research frontier of innovative talents cultivation.
