The 4th KingLeadIES

The 4th session of KingLeadIES was held under the theme of "International School Governance". Prior to the symposium, KingLead invited international schools to participate in the "Questionnaire on Key Issues of International School Governance", in order to develop an in-depth understanding of the problems and accumulated experience of the interviewed schools in the process of school governance and the cultivation of innovative talents. This session invited experts and scholars from Peking University,Beijing Foreign Studies University,related managers from BNP Paribas and Beijing Venture Capital & Private Equity Law Society as well as principals and managers from the Affiliated High of Peking University,Tsinghua International School,The Houde Academy and Beijing International Bilingual Academy to deliver their speeches.
The schools that participated in this session includes the Affiliated High of Peking University, Tsinghua International School, the International Department of Beijing Bayi School, the International Department of Beijing 101 Middle School, the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China ICC, the Experimental School of Capital Normal University, Yew Chung International School,Beijing International Bilingual Academy,Springboard International Bilingual School,Suzhou Foreign Language School, The True Light Middle School In Guangzhou, KunShan Middle School of JiangSu Province, KunShan Middle School of JiangSu Province, The International Department of The Middle School Attached To Sichuan University, The International Department of Shandong Experimental High School, Xi’an Hi-Tech International School, Depu Foreign Language School, PKUHS Tianjian School, ESS International Education, etc.
This session was divided into two sections. The theme of the first section is "Macro Analysis of International School Governance". Known professor, President of Beijing Venture Capital & Private Equity Law Society and Principal of Beijing International Bilingual Academy elaborated on the issue of school governance from the perspective of world-class universities, investors, professional legal, and curriculum internationalization. They also shared classical cases, including cases of successful education companies, cases of innovational practices, and legal cases. The second section focused on the theme of "Case Study of International School Governance". Principals of known schools give speeches on international school management, cases of integrated education with focuses on different curriculum forms and curriculum planning, and the integration of Chinese and western education from the experience of schooling and teaching. A senior scholar discussed the cultivation of international talents based on the research results of the competency model of international organizations.
Finally, during the discussion, the participants summarized their achievements, put forward their confusions and conducted in-depth communication on topics such as the contents of the guest speeches, the development of international innovative
talents and the development of international education. Education experts and principals and mangers of international schools, explored the key issues such as the essence and value of international education, the influence of the international
education, elements of international school operation managements, development path of principals and managers, teachers’ training and competition for talents. In a warm atmosphere, the symposium came to a successful conclusion.
